How to Volunteer at the 2017 BSH Tournament
March 9, 2017
The 2017 Bay Street Hoops tournament will take place from March 30 – April 1. This is a great volunteer opportunity for those who love basketball and giving back to their community. However, even if you don’t know anything about the game, we would love for you to be involved!
Every year we have approximately 50-70 volunteers, who help to run the Bay Street Hoops tournament. This year, the tournament is supporting KidSport Ontario and the Drive for Dreams Foundation.
Thursday, March 30 | 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Friday, March 31 | 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 1 | 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
There are a number of different opportunities for volunteers, depending on your skills, interests and time availability:
You will need to keep the score, some prior experience is required or we can partner you with a more seasoned volunteer if this interests you.

This is a general position. You will act as a “messenger” between “the headquarters” and the courts + other ad-hoc roles that may come up.
You will need to ensure each court has enough Gatorade/water, refill the tanks and etc.
You will be asked to photograph the games, volunteers, players, kids clinic and three-point shoot-out. Please visit our Facebook page to see photos from previous tournaments.
If you are interested in volunteering please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line Volunteer.
